Events in unusual spaces
HOUSE 2015 needs your help to transform unusual and unexpected spaces into our events venues.
Most dramatically we want to convert a derelict old wood yard into our pop-up cinema so we can show a programme of rarely seen films of protest.
In the face of dissension, protest often provides the necessary edge that leads to change. In collaboration with Cinecity, The Cinema of Re-Enactment is a season of films spanning seven decades of cinematic history.
The programme will include Jeremy Deller and Mike Figgis’ Battle of Ogreave, Peter Watkins’ Culloden, Humprey Jennings’ Silent Village and The Act of Killing.
We are asking for your support to help us prepare these venues, supply seating, heating, lights and more – to make this the most unusual events programme and pop-up cinema yet experienced.
